Role & Responsibilities
As a Speech Recognition Intern, your responsibilities will include:
- Research & Development: Collaborate on the design and enhancement of advanced speech recognition algorithms and models
- Algorithm Optimization: Improve the speed, accuracy, and reliability of existing speech AI frameworks
- Knowledge Sharing: Stay up to date with current research trends and contribute insights to the R&D team
- Hands-On AI Development: Utilize Python and deep learning tools to build, test, and deploy real-time speech models
- Collaboration: Work closely with domain experts and researchers on impactful AI projects
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the role, candidates must:
- Be currently enrolled in or have completed a Master’s (Research) or Ph.D. program in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or related fields
- Have hands-on experience in Transformer-based models used for speech or audio processing
- Be available full-time for 6 months, starting from June 2025
Technical Skills Required
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in Python, shell scripting, and PERL
- Experience with deep learning libraries like PyTorch and TensorFlow
- Familiarity with FastAPI or similar API development tools
- Solid understanding of Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and audio signal processing
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in developing ASR systems for Indian languages
- Advanced expertise in PyTorch and data annotation pipelines
- Familiarity with NLP-based voice interfaces
